In this post, you are going to learn how to post a carousel on Facebook step by step. Before we start, you need the following:

  • Facebook page
  • Verified Facebook Business account that is connected to your Facebook page.

Post a Carousel in 10 steps

  1. Go to business.facebook.com and log into your Meta Business Manager account. Navigate to the Ad Accounts section.
  2. Open one of your ad accounts. You'll need to create a dummy campaign, ad set, and ad to access the carousel creation tools.
  3. When creating the ad, select the Carousel format. This will allow you to upload multiple images/videos and add headlines, descriptions, and links for each card in the carousel.
  4. Design your carousel ad by uploading your visual assets and crafting compelling ad copy for each card. You can add unique URLs per card if desired. If you don't have a carousel design yet, please check out all our free templates here.
  5. Important: Do not add a call-to-action button or multiple primary text fields, as this may cause issues when posting the carousel organically.
  6. Once your carousel ad is ready, publish the campaign. However, if you don't want to run it as a paid ad, be sure to pause the campaign and/or ad set.
  7. In the Business Manager menu, go to the "Page Posts" section under "Engage Customers." Select the correct Facebook page you want to post to.
  8. Click on "Ad Posts" in the left menu. Here you'll see all ads created in your account, including your new carousel.
  9. Select the carousel post you want to publish to your page. You can either publish it immediately or schedule it for a future date and time.
  10. Click publish or schedule your carousel post!
Review the carousel one last time to ensure everything looks correct. Just to let you know, Facebook may not allow carousels with excessive text (aim for 20% or less text coverage).
